KCC Ammo Can Cache Contest Event
We will be gathering to kick off the Kern County Cachers' Ammo Can Cache Contest as well as earn a special souvenir for the Maker Magic Promotion. Our goal for this event is to gather the local cachers and talk about the cache containers they are planting for the contest, share cache planting tips, strategize about how to plant caches that receive favorite points, fellowship about caches found, and trade trackables. The event is at Lengthwise Brewery, starts at 5 PM, and should be over by 7 PM. Order some food and drinks and join us at our tables!
Kern County Cachers' Ammo Can Cache Contest
The Kern County Cachers are challenging you to plant your best ammo can cache. Ammo can containers come in many shapes and sizes and we will not be too picky as long as it an ammo can container. Think outside of the box and have fun!
Caches can not be published before 12:00 AM on Saturday July 1, 2023. You can plant as many caches as you want as long as they are ammo can caches. All caches must be planted in Kern County.
Caches will be judged in the following categories. Caches can be considered for any and all combinations of categories.
- Most Favorites: The cache with the most favorites wins. Ties will be broken by the highest favorites/premium logs percentage listed on the cache page.
- Highest Favorites Percentage: The cache with the highest favorites/premium logs percentage wins. Ties will be broken by the highest favorite points for each cache. Caches must be kept active, so no getting one favorite and archiving your cache. Caches disabled for a long period of time will no longer qualify.
- Rojo's choice: A cache the elrojo14 just feels like is great and needs to be recognized, but didn't win in any of the other categories.
The contest will run from July 1, 2023 until 11:59 PM on Saturday December 30, 2023. The awards ceremony will be held sometime New Year's Weekend and a new event will be published for the awards ceremony.
In order to join the contest, just put the following text in the name of your cache, "KCC ACCC". Then once your cache publishes, post a note to this cache with a link to your cache. We will add them to the KCC Ammo Can Cache Contest Caches Bookmark List as we find them. You do not have to attend this event to participate. You simply need to plant an ammo can cache with "KCC ACCC" in the title.
