The FFCM event series came about from a conversation with a cacher friend. They could no longer attend evening events & they missed getting together with like minded folk & chatting all things caching. So we thought we'd give a morning event a try, to see if it worked. It's has proved to be an amazing success. We have a great amount of support from cachers that come regularly, as well as new cachers that come from near & far too.
We are sure that the venue is a big part of the series success too. It allows for a large sociable gathering or a smaller natter group.Ā The hosts of the kitchen offer hotĀ drinks & cakes all for donations. They then get to keep all the proceeds for their cause at the end of service. (No one is obligated to buy any thing).
As we have been using the community coffee shopĀ for our FFCM events,Ā we thought that it would beĀ a great idea to ask if we could host the kitchen to raise money for local Geocaching funds. We have thankfully been given permission to host the kitchen again & we will also have a Raffle going too,Ā all the proceeds from this event will go towards mega:MK, our local mega.
Whilst this event is a fundraising opportunity, we still want it to be as fun and friendly as we hope all our events have been in the past. You are welcome to come to the event and just sign the logbook if you wish. Nobody is obligated to buy anything. We just want an opportunity to raise awareness of our hobby & hopefully get new people interested in joining in the fun.
For this event,Ā the logbook will be at the by the Raffle prizes on the stage, look for Signal, (because andMAN & I will be busy washing up/ serving the drinks & cakesĀ šš®)
