A weekday CITO for all you weekend warriors whose downtime is M-F!
Parking is at the posted coordinates, a parking lot/trail for the South Fork trail, part of the Carolina Thread trail system.
We are in the midst of the first 2023 CITO season (March through May), and I wanted to be sure there was at least one more local CITO opportunity for the Greater Charlotte area to get the CITO 2023 Season 1 souvenir. To that end, we'll be doing trash pickup along the South Fork Trail right near McAdenville. Based on last time, I expect we'll find a fair amount in the first section that goes under I-85, only a short walk from parking.
I will provide trash bags & water bottles, and have a few extra pairs of gloves available first come, first serve. Please bring work gloves, although I will have a few backup pairs in case. I do not have any trash pickers, so please BYO if you want to utilize one. There is no need for safety vests, as we will not be working near the road (except to cross to the next section of trail).
