Besides holding the World Paragliding Championships, the Ibituruna Peak (1123 meters) also provides a very nice view to
the underlying City of Governador Valadares. On top there is a small café with terrace and view to the city.
You can reach the top either by car or hiking. When I attempted the hiking trail, it took me 2.5 hours to get up with a above medium challenging rating of the trail.
There are two roads up, where the cobblestone road on the southern ("backside") side
of the mountain is the only driveable with a normal car at the moment (May 2023). The other road is badly damaged by landslides and rain and
can be driven by a skillful 4x4 Jeep driver or with an offroad motorbike.
The cache is hidden directly next to the parking space under a stone.
Please take some caution when retrieving the cache as it can be quite crowded during the day and especially during weekends.
