One morning a few weeks ago, Dr. Flonase published a new mystery cache, GCA79Z6. I wasn't the first solver (because time zones), not even on the West coast, but once I was awake it was a quick solve. Once I had the solution, did I rush out after the FTF? I did not.
I read the description again, noticing that one statement (not critical to the solve) seemed to imply that only two popular songs had been released with "chain" themes. I was certain there were many more; even The Beatles had recorded one (written by Carole King, no less, but originally recorded by a female R&B trio from New York). In the next twenty minutes I was able to come up with a couple dozen other recordings that fit the theme—some recent, others released as long as 90 years ago. I'm sure there are more (but enough is enough).
In the letter grid below, you can find some selected artists who released chain songs. They form a sinuous chain beginning with the "P" in the upper left and ending with the "S" at the lower right. When the direction changes, it will only move right, left, up, or down; there are no diagonals.
You will notice other words in this grid. Some are helpful, others merely distraction; none are intentionally misleading.

The cache is not linked to the chain at the posted coords.
Note: After publication, I noticed that Charo had somehow managed to sneak into the grid. She is not a clue, but I found it amusing enough to leave her in.
You can validate your puzzle solution with
certitude.
Note: It has come to my attention that I used an inaccurate source (or simply transcribed it incorrectly); to get Homer to dance, subtract .001 from the West.
