Este projecto está pensado ainda antes de ter começado a praticar Geocaching.
A ideia esteve a ser processada, elaborada e guardada este tempo todo, e, finalmente sai a primeira cache dedicada a algo tão especial.
Falo pois, dos paineis publicitários da SCHWEPPES, feitos em Azulejos. Estes "Outdoors" promocionais do Séc. passado, que ainda se vêem de vez em quando esquecidos em algumas paredes adjuntas ás estradas mais antigas do Algareve. São um legado de uma outra era, e normalmente quem era de iutras regiões culminava com a chegada ao Algarve depois de longas horas de viagem.
Fabricados entre 1956 a 1965 pela fábrica Aleluia, de Aveiro, a pedido da empresa de refrigerantes Schweppes. As pinturas fazem uso de uma extensa paleta crómatica e não contam qualquer alusão a tipo de produto que anunciam, ficando-se apenas pela menção da marca atraves de um slogan talhado para o sul do país - "Algarve...e Schweppes".
(BREVE HISTÓRIA)
Considerado por muitos o refrigerante mais antigo do mundo, a história da schweppes começa em 1783, quando Johann Jacob Schweppe, um relojoeiro alemão e cientista amador, refinou um processo de criação de água gaseificada viável para comercialização em grande escala. O sucesso foi quase imediato e durou cerca de 200 anos. A publicidade á Schweppes Laranja entoava animadamente "é tudo Laranja", mas as imagens lá em casa continuavam a preto e branco.
Actualmente a Schweppes já não representa a sofisticação cosmopolita prometida pela companhia teaser que a havia lançado nos meados dos anos 60.
Os paineis, esses ainda existem alguns exemplares espalhados pelo Algarve inteiro, nem sempre bem conservados.

Esta cache é a primeira de uma futura possivel série de caches sobre estes paineis já pensada vai vários anos.
fica junto a uma estrada super movimentada (N125), por isso peço cuidado da procura da mesma, podendo estacionar em segurança na área envolvente.
Mais uma vez, peço cuidado total no manuseamento do conteiner, para que todos os geocachers tenham o privilégio de a encontrar na máxiam condição possivel e desfrutar dela.

THE CACHE this cache is the first of a possible future series of caches on these panels already planned several years ago. it is next to a super busy road (N125), so I ask you to be careful when looking for it, being able to park safely in the surrounding area.
