Willow and scrub clearance from the drainage ditch
Parking: See parking waypoint which is for the Alney Island Nature Reserve car park; please note you can only access it leaving Gloucester, heading towards Highnam and Over, just after Westgate Bridge.
Where: Meet in the car park at 09:30 or if you are arriving later head for the CITO coordinates via the paths where you will find us in the ditch on the Oxleaze.
What: We will be clearing willow and scrub from the drainage ditch on Oxleaze. It's likely you may need wellies depending on how wet the weather has been prior to this CITO. Check the cache page for updates.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. Please bring your own work gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have shears, loppers and a saw please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the Ranger will have a supply too.
Health and Safety: The session will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work. Cake will be provided at breaktime.
