Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the listed coordinates. Solve the puzzle below to determine its location.

The genus Xanthorrhoea, commonly known as the grasstree, kangaroo tail or blackboy, is an iconic Australian tree. They begin with a crown of grass-like leaves which are constantly regenerating, the accumulated dead leaf-bases then forming the "trunk" below. Because the trunk has no great strength, these are one of the few Australian trees that can't be climbed.

There are some thirty species in the genus, many of which require fire, or at least smoke, to trigger the production of the characteristic flower stalk which can grow several metres in height above the crown. The flowers are generally white or dull yellow, but there are two unusual species that produce strikingly colourful displays, namely the deep blue Xanthorrhoea austrifer and the lime green Xanthorrhoea orientalis. After years of painstaking research and field work, renowned botanist Raymond Gregory Barton was able to secure photos of these rare and endangered plants.

The container is a 500ml Sistema and includes a pencil. Please make sure to rehide it completely out of sight as this location is attractive to muggles.
