Meet and Greet at the Starter Hut for a brief history of this uniqe area of Gulf State Park and its current status. Everyone who attends this event will receive a raffle ticket good towards the BAMARAMA Grand Prize to be drawn at the Main Event on 2/18/2023.
Optional Group Hike starts at 9am and should last until approx 11am. There will be items that belong in this section of the park and there will be items that do not belong; try to find the things that do not belong as we walk. If you find and can remember all of the things that do not belong, you will be eligible to enter the drawing to receive a prize at the end of the hike. Round trip walk will be approximately 3 miles with new and old caches to find along the way; terrain in relatively flat with some offtrail patches.
Participants for the Optional Hike are encouraged to bring binoculars, long pants, water, walking stick (if needed), sunscreen and bug spray.
