🇫🇷 Qu'est-ce que la série "À flanc de falaise" ?
Cette série a pour but de vous partager des falaises, des grottes, rochers ou encore abris troglodytiques plus ou moins méconnus que j'ai découverts au gré de mes ballades et explorations entre le Lot et la Dordogne. Si vous aimez donc ces lieux et "partir à l'aventure", cette série est faite pour vous ! Les autres caches de la série sont disponibles ici.
La cache
Je vous propose de découvrir l'autre partie des falaises de Turnac, bien moins accessibles et connues que l'autre partie (que vous pouvez découvrir avec cette cache).
En pratique
Si l'autre cache était facile d'accès, celle-ci l'est beaucoup moins. En effet, il faudra traverser et faire un peu de hors-piste pour trouver le chemin qui y mène. Une fois sur site, une grimpe un peu glissante mènera à la zone où vous devrez cherche l'indice pour l'emplacement final. Aidez-vous des waypoints et photos-indication pour arriver en un seul morceau jusqu'à l'abri.
1. Accès au site
Au waypoint 0 "Départ conseillé" : commencer la traversée de la forêt sur une quarantaine de mètres environ. Une fois le chemin trouvé (c'est le plus dur) au waypoint 1 : "Début du chemin tracé" ou plus au nord, le suivre jusqu'au waypoint 2 "Tout droit". Il faut continuer tout droit et ne pas prendre le chemin qui monte à gauche. En suivant encore un peu le chemin, on arrive devant l'arche (waypoint 3) : c'est l'"entrée" su site.
2. Accès à l'abri
Une fois arrivé sur site, il faut monter pour atteindre les abris puis les longer. Au bout, il faut un peu escalader pour accéder à la terrasse supérieure. Le cheminement à suivre est indiqué sur la photo-indication 4. Une fois arrivé, à gauche se trouve un petit passage avec une petite porte au bout : derrière celle-ci se trouve l'abri que recherché !
3. Récolte d'informations et calculs de coordonnées
Toutes les informations sont dans l'abri et sur la porte.
A = nombre de lettres du prénom caché dans la photo-indice 1
B = Année où Paul, Eugene et Jeffrey ont visité l'abri
C = Année où Daan et Indy ont visité l'abri

🇬🇧 What is the "On the cliff side" series?
The purpose of this series is to share with you some of the more or less unknown cliffs, caves, rocks or troglodytic shelters that I have discovered during my walks and explorations between the Lot and the Dordogne. If you like these places and "going on an adventure", this series is made for you! The other caches of the series are available here.
The cache
I propose you to discover the other part of the Turnac cliffs, much less accessible and known than the other part (which you can discover with this cache).
En pratique
If the other cache was easy to access, this one is much less so. Indeed, you will have to cross the forest and do some off-roading to find the path that leads to it. Once on site, a slightly slippery climb will lead to the area where you will have to look for the clue to the final location. Use the waypoints and photo pointers to get to the clue in one piece.
1. Access to the site
At waypoint 0 : start crossing the forest for about 40 metres. Once you have found the path (this is the hardest part) at waypoint 1: "Start of the marked path" or further north, follow it to waypoint 2. Go straight on and do not take the path that goes up to the left. If you follow the path a little further, you will arrive at the arch (waypoint 3): this is the "entrance" to the site.
2. Access to the shelter
Once you arrive on site, you have to climb to reach the shelters and then walk along them. At the end, you have to climb a little to reach the upper terrace. The path to follow is indicated on photo 4. Once there, on the left is a small passage with a mini door at the end: behind this is the shelter you are looking for!
3. Information gathering and coordinate calculations
