Geocache Description:

24 September 2022, 10:00 - 10:30

World Wide Flash Mob
WWFM XIX - Balboa Park GEO-Inspectors

Be a part of geocaching history!

Goto GCWWFM.COM for ALL the World Wide Flash Mob Info!

This is a Flash Mob Gathering of Geocachers

Only 30 minutes long! You MUST be present DURING this time to claim the event.

Summary: The Basic Idea

WWFM XIX - World Wide Flash Mob coordinated events (see growing bookmark list)
Thousands of geocachers at hundreds of events all around the globe, gathering at the same time

Meet at Balboa Park (at 10am) for instructions and preparation.

The Plan

A strategy that some Geocachers use as a "Muggle Deception Technique" is to wear a High-Viz (bright yellow) vest and carry a clipboard while looking for a cache. Muggles often assume that the Geoacher is an official inspector of some kind and ignores them, leaving the cacher to search for the cache unhindered. For THIS Flash Mob, we plan to engage in such ridiculous inspections at an unprecedented magnitude!

The event will begin precisely at 10:00 am on Saturday, Sept 24 and will last 30 minutes.
An Orange Bucket placed on ground zero will signal the start of the event!!!
The event will be facilitated by volunteers. If you'd like to be a WWFM volunteer, please contact us (podcacher@gmail.com) and let us know.

Prior to the start time, mosey and wander about non-challantly ... Then when the bucket is set down ... come towards Ground Zero

Your INSTRUCTIONS:

PLEASE BRING AN INDEX CARD ALREADY SIGNED WITH YOUR CACHING NAME

You will drop the card in the WHITE bucket instead of signing a log sheet - and that will be your prize raffle entry as well.

Please bring as many of the following as possible: Hi-Vis Reflective Safety Vests, Clipboards, Flashlights, Magnifying Glasses, Hard Hats

We will have a few extra vests to loan out, for the first who show up

DO NOT COME WEARING THE VESTS - We’ll all put them on later at the same time

We will be a Flash Mob of Inspectors

You will be given more details about how to proceed as a Mob of Inspector throughout Balboa Park!

Our goal is to have fun being conspicuosly silly as a mob of Geocachers spreading goodwill and "Inspecting" areas of Balboa Park as never before!

ADD this event to your watchlist for more detailed information!
