Church Micro 14519...Newton Aycliffe - Neville
Neville Parade Methodist Church is one of two Methodist Churches located in and around Newton Aycliffe - the other being Burnhill Way Methodist Church. According to a local newspaper, the local Methodists originally worshipped in a farmhouse, later receiving a railway carriage which they adapted. When the township began, the local Methodists switched to worshipping in a wooden building. In 1956, however, they began the first phase of the current site seen before you here at Neville Parade. In 1976, the second methodist church was built at Burnhill Way, giving Newton Aycliffe its two methodist churches.
Hopefully you enjoyed that brief summary of the church, however now I shall go onto the cache. Stealth is pretty much necessary here, as the cache and church are just opposite a busy row of shops, though the cache is concealed quite well and you should be able to retrieve it quite easily. It is a micro tube located somewhere around the church, but not inside the church grounds, so please don't enter unless you have permission. See the hint if you require a further clue. Happy caching!
