La Lavanche est un petit hameau au-dessus de Saint-Férréol. Vous pourrez y observer les anciennes granges réaménagées typiques de la région, où habitent aujourd'hui les habitants. Le rez-de-chaussée était autrefois également habité par des paysans, et l'étage supérieur réservé à la grange, où séchait le foin l'hiver. C'est la raison pour laquelle les façades comportent de nombreux espaces et permettaient les courants d'air, qui rendaient le foin d'autant plus sec. Un aperçu de Faverges est aussi possible, avec au-dessus, la montagne de la Sambuy (station de ski, luge d'été), la Dent-de-Cons à gauche et le col de l'Arpettaz derrière la Lavanche.
De nombreux départ de ballade et randonnées sont possibles, jusqu'au Rocher de Viuz, le Plan du Chouet, le Solliet, et pour les plus costaud(e)s, jusqu'à Montmin ou le Crêt des Mouches.
La Lavanche is a small hamlet above Saint-Férréol. Here you can see the old barns that have been renovated, typical of the region, where the inhabitants now live. The ground floor used to be inhabited by farmers, and the upper floor was used as a barn, where hay was dried in winter. This is why the facades have many spaces and allow for draughts, which make the hay all the more dry. A view of Faverges is also possible, with the Sambuy mountain above (ski resort, summer sledging), the Dent-de-Cons on the left and the Arpettaz pass behind la Lavanche.
Numerous walks and hikes are possible, as far as the Rocher de Viuz, the Plan du Chouet, the Solliet, and for the strongest, as far as Montmin or the Crêt des Mouches.
