La commune de Bize se trouve dans le département des Hautes-Pyrénées. Sur le plan historique et culturel, Bize fait partie du pays de Comminges.
Exposée à un climat de montagne, Bize est drainée par le Merdan, le ruisseau de Nistos et par divers autres petits cours d'eau.
La commune possède un patrimoine naturel remarquable composé de quatre zones naturelles d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique.
Garez-vous près de l'église et laissez les 8 caches vous montrer le chemin pour une belle balade d'environ 6 kilomètres!
Redescendez par la route principale en direction de Nestier jusqu'au début du sentier ('trailhead') et tournez à gauche. (Carraou)
Au premier arrêt, un peu plus loin, vous découvrirez ce que Pierre a reçu de son frère Jean Rey, il y a 160 ans.....

Park near the church and let the 8 caches show you the way for a beautiful walk of about 6 kilometres!
Go back down the main road towards Nestier to the trailhead and turn left (Carraou).
At the first stop, a little further on, you will discover what Pierre received from his brother Jean Rey, 160 years ago.....

Bize is blootgesteld aan een bergklimaat en wordt gedraineerd door de Merdan, de Neste en verschillende andere kleine beekjes.
De gemeente heeft een opmerkelijk natuurlijk erfgoed bestaande uit vier natuurgebieden van ecologisch, faunistisch en floristisch belang.
Parkeer bij de kerk en laat de 8 caches u de weg wijzen voor een prachtige wandeling van ongeveer 6 kilometer!
Ga terug over de hoofdweg richting Nestier naar het opgegeven Trailhead en sla linksaf (Carraou).
Bij de eerste stop, iets verderop, ontdekt u wat Pierre van zijn broer Jean Rey kreeg, 160 jaar geleden.....
