Party on the Patuxent
This is a kayaking/boating event. Please note the difficulty and terrain rating of this listing. This event will be held on the Patuxent River near the mouth of Caney Creek. Bring your watercraft of choice, and I'll see you out on the water. Kayak launch and parking waypoints have been provided.
NOTE:
The location of this event is ON THE WATER via the use of a water vessel. It is near a bridge crossing the creek which provides access to a boat dock. This boat dock is only available to those who are a part of the community and have paid to park their boats and/or use the dock. DO NOT attempt to access the event location via the community access point.
There are plenty of kayak caches in the area, so this would be a great opportunity to grab some either before or after the event.

This event happens to fall on "International Geocaching Day." Log any geocache, Adventure Lab® Location, or Event today to earn the International Geocaching Day 2022 souvenir.
Today is also the day in which Geocaching HQ wants everyone to "Come together to break the record." Geocaching HQ wants to break the record for most explorers (geocachers and adventurers) logging a cache find, Adventure Lab® Location, or an Event in a single day. The current record is 126,833 explorers, and it was set on August 11, 2013. If you can't make it to this event, make sure you log a find or attend an event to be a part of history.
