Geocache Description:

The physical cache is not at these coordinates. You will have to solve a few math problems to get to the coordinates for the physical cache.

Coordinates are N 43 02.adf W 077 05.ecb

a. Probability is the measure of the odds of a specific outcome out of all possible outcomes. For example, the probability of picking a red ball out of a group of balls with 3 red balls, 4 green balls and 3 blue balls is 3/10 or 0.3. If the odds of picking a green ball out of 20 balls where 8 are red and 8 are blue is 0.2, how many green balls are there?

b. The area of a circle is calculated as πr2 where r is the radius of the circle and π is approximately 3.14159. If the area of a circle is 28.27431, what is its radius?

c. The Y-intercept equation for a straight line is defined as Y=mX+b. Y is the Y-coordinate of a point on the line. X is the X-Coordinate of a point on the line. m is the slope of the line and b is the Y-coordinate at which the X-coordinate is 0. If m is 4, Y is 23, and b is 3, what is X?

d. The mean of a sample of data is defined as the sum of the sample values divided by the number of sample values. What is the mean of 6, 3, 6, 4, 6.

e. The area of a triangle is calculated as ½ bh where b is the length of the base of the triangle and h is the height of the triangle. If the base of a triangle is 1 and the height is 4, what is the area of the triangle.

f. Pythagorean Theorem is used to calculate the length of an unknown side of a right triangle given two sides are known. The formula for the theorem is a2 = b2 + c2. If a = 5 and c = 3, what is b?

Find the answers and substitute for the corresponding letters in the coordinates above.

Congratulations to Jersey Girl 10 for the FTF!

Moved to a different spot due to being muggled twice. To get new coordinates, subtract 0.011 from latitude and add 0.008 to longitude. TOTT may help with extraction of cache container from new location.
