Can I please suggest that if you are planning to publish a nearby cache on the day of this event, please choose a time at least an hour BEFORE the start, or AFTER the event has ended. This should prevent disruption to the event.
This is the 11th of the Dartmoor Tors monthly events as announced and discussed in the Dartmoor Geocaching FB group.
These events have attracted a very loyal following but it would be great to see some new faces, so please do consider joining us please.
As discussed these events will alternate between "remote" tors, more than a mile from the nearest logical parking and "more accessible" tors, less than a mile. When I originally selected the tors to go into the "remote" pot to be drawn I was very much aware that winter was approaching and only included those tors which only just exceeded one mile. Now however, I have included a few more remoter tors, although this is not one of them.
At each event the location for the event 2 months ahead will be chosen. All events will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 12:00 noon. This will allow for the events to be incorporated into a much longer walk should you so decide.
PARKING: Of all the events so far this has to be one iof the easiest to reach and has ample parking in two locations. There is a huge car park east of Burrator Reservoir or the parking we have already used at the Scout Hut.
Please remember that the weather on Dartmoor can change suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing.
