Met trots maken wij bekend dat de GPS Adventures MAZE voor het eerst in Nederland te bezoeken is!
Wat is een GPS Adventures MAZE?
Een GPS MAZE is een speciaal en zeldzaam type event cache. Laat deze kans niet aan je voorbijgaan om ons te bezoeken en verdien daarmee een nieuw cache type icoon!
Een GPS MAZE is een reizende tentoonstelling waarin de onderwerpen GPS en geocaching voor alle leeftijdsgroepen worden toegelicht met een breed scala aan interactieve elementen.
Het woord MAZE betekent doolhof, aangezien de eerste tentoonstellingen gestructureerd waren als een doolhof (1 weg in 1 weg uit). Het concept van de tentoonstelling is ontwikkeld door Geocaching HQ en Minotaur Mazes.
De tentoonstelling gaat over geocaching en hoe je het kunt spelen. De geschiedenis van geocaching wordt getoond, evenals de vele facetten binnen dit spel. Je kunt veel dingen vinden die je altijd al wilde weten over geocaching, bijvoorbeeld verstopplaatsen, D- en T-beoordelingen, alle soorten caches, trackables of speciale caches. Alles wat met dit spel te maken heeft. De tentoonstelling duurt vaak meerdere dagen, vóór, tijdens of na een MEGA- of GIGA-event.
Tot nu toe vond het met name plaats in Noord-Amerika en tot en met 2022 slechts 7 keer in Europa.
De eerste GPS MAZE in Europa is georganiseerd door de Tsjechische Geocaching organisatie: Czech Association of Geocachers (CAGeo). Zij hebben al meerdere keren deze tentoonstelling met groot succes verzorgd.
Geocaching.com heeft hiervoor een eigen cache type, dat ook in de statistieken voorkomt. Daar staat het niet vermeld onder de naam "MAZE", maar onder "GPS Adventures Exhibit".
Samen met Geocaching HQ zal het Drents Geocache Event Team (onderdeel van de Stichting Nederlandse Geocache Organisatie) een GPS Adventures MAZE ontwerpen en bouwen. Op de GPS MAZE panelen zul je de teksten kunnen lezen in het Nederlands, Duits en Engels.
Voor een aantal overige vertalingen zal dit digitaal middels een QR-code te scannen en te lezen zijn. Ook willen we proberen een multimedia luistertour aan te bieden.
Deze GPS Adventures MAZE bijwonen?
Plaats een Will Attend en vermeld daarin ik kom met … volwassenen en … kinderen. Voor een tijdslot reservering klik hier. (Dit wordt zo snel mogelijk toegevoegd, houdt de event aankondigingen in de gaten.)
LET OP: Indien je niet reserveert kan de wachttijd behoorlijk oplopen en zul je geduld moeten hebben tot er binnen in de MAZE ruimte is.
De GPS MAZE is voor publiek geopend van 26 tot en met 30 April 2023 en zal plaatsvinden bij het MEGA-event Kings and Queens. We hebben een aantal tijdsloten gereserveerd voor onze VIP-supporters.
Het is voor ons belangrijk om te weten hoeveel bezoekers van plan zijn naar de MAZE te komen, dus plaats alsjeblieft een Will Attend per account. Zo blijf je ook op de hoogte van de laatste nieuwtjes die we via Event aankondigingen zullen communiceren.

Was ist ein GPS Adventures MAZE?
Ein GPS MAZE ist eine besondere und seltene Art von Event-Cache. Verpassen Sie nicht diese Gelegenheit, uns zu besuchen und ein neues Cache-Typ-Symbol zu verdienen!
Ein GPS MAZE ist eine Wanderausstellung, die die Themen GPS und Geocaching für alle Altersgruppen mit zahlreichen interaktiven Elementen erklärt.
Das Wort MAZE bedeutet Labyrinth, da die ersten Ausstellungen wie ein Labyrinth aufgebaut waren (1 Weg rein, 1 Weg raus). Das Konzept der Ausstellung wurde von Geocaching HQ und Minotaur Mazes entwickelt.
In der Ausstellung geht es um Geocaching und wie man es spielt. Die Geschichte des Geocachings wird gezeigt, sowie die vielen Facetten dieses Spiels. Hier finden Sie vieles, was Sie schon immer über Geocaching wissen wollen, zum Beispiel Verstecke, D- und T-Ratings, alle Arten von Caches, Trackables oder Spezialcaches. Alles rund um dieses Spiel. Die Ausstellung dauert oft mehrere Tage, vor, während oder nach einem MEGA- oder GIGA-Event.
Bisher hat es bis 2022 hauptsächlich in Nordamerika und nur 7 Mal in Europa stattgefunden.
Das erste GPS MAZE in Europa wird von der tschechischen Geocaching-Organisation Czech Association of Geocachers (CAGeo). organisiert. Sie haben diese Ausstellung mehrmals mit großem Erfolg organisiert.
Geocaching.com hat dafür einen eigenen Cache-Typ, der auch in der Statistik auftaucht. Dort ist es nicht unter dem Namen „MAZE“ gelistet, sondern unter „GPS Adventures Exhibit“.
Zusammen mit dem Geocaching-Hauptquartier wird das Drents Geocache Event Team (Teil der Stiftung Niederländische Geocache Organization) ) ein GPS Adventures MAZE entwerfen und bauen. Auf den Tafeln von GPS MAZE können Sie die Texte auf Niederländisch, Deutsch und Englisch lesen.
Bei einigen anderen Übersetzungen kann diese gescannt und mittels QR-Code digital ausgelesen werden.
Wir wollen auch versuchen, eine multimediale Hörtour anzubieten.

What is a GPS Adventures MAZE?
A GPS MAZE is a special and rare type of event cache. Don't miss this opportunity to visit us and earn a new cache type icon!
A GPS MAZE is a traveling exhibition explaining the topics of GPS and geocaching for all age groups with a wide range of interactive elements. The word MAZE means maze, as the first exhibitions were structured like a maze (1 way in 1 way out).
The concept of the exhibition was developed by Geocaching HQ and Minotaur Mazes. The exhibition is about geocaching and how to play it. The history of geocaching is shown, as well as the many facets within this game. You can find many things you always wanted to know about geocaching, for example hiding places, D and T ratings, all types of caches, trackables or special caches. Everything related to this game.
The exhibition often lasts several days, before, during or after a MEGA or GIGA event. So far, it has mainly taken place in North America and only 7 times in Europe through 2022.
The first GPS MAZE in Europe is organized by the Czech Geocaching organisation: Czech Association of Geocachers (CAGeo). They have organized this exhibition several times with great success.
Geocaching.com has its own cache type for this, which also appears in the statistics. There it is not listed under the name "MAZE", but under "GPS Adventures Exhibit".
Together with Geocaching HQ, the Drents Geocache Event Team (part of the Dutch Geocache Organization Foundation) will design and build a GPS Adventures MAZE. On the GPS MAZE panels you will be able to read the texts in Dutch, German and English.
For a number of other translations, this can be scanned and read digitally by means of a QR code. We also want to try to offer a multimedia listening tour.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not book, the waiting time can be quite long and you will have to be patient until there is room inside the MAZE. The GPS MAZE will be open to the public from April 26-30, 2023 and will take place at the Kings and Queens MEGA event.
