10th August 2022 marks the 15th Anniversary of the SideTracked series. Join me at an event to celebrate the series.
I've thought about hosting a SideTracked event connected to The Railway Children for a few years, and as a new film is coming out this year, I thought this year would be an appropriate time to do so. For anyone who doesn't know - Oakworth Station was used in the original film.
The Keighley Worth Valley Railway have given permssion for us to meet in the station car park at Oakworth Station. Access to the station will not be provided and I have given an assurance that we will not trespass onto the station. Unfortunately, the trains will have stopped running by the time of the event.
There will be a profile badge available for all attendees of events (or finders of caches) on SideTracked day. There will also be an additional profile badge for attending this event (the badge can be seen in the event page gallery. Please visit the SideTracked website for more details and for the code you need. Please note - these are not official souvenirs from HQ - you will need to manually add them yourself to your profile.
The event will take place between 6.30pm and 7pm.
Parking is available in the car park which we will be meeting in. I'm sure I don't really need to say this, but as both drivers and pedestrians, please take care whilst in the car park and be mindful of others.
Trackables - any which fit into a small tupperware box (with the lid on) are more than welcome. If you wish to bring anything larger, you are responsible for passing it along or taking it back if no-one is willing.
