O Cante Alentejano
Esta cache têm o propósito de dar a conhecer esta homenagem ao cante Alentejano e dar uma pequena descrição sobre o grupo coral de Odemira e como foi criado. Espero que tenham uma boa experiência a fazer esta cache :).
O cante alentejano é um género musical tradicional do Alentejo, Portugal. O cante nunca foi a única expressão de música tradicional no Alentejo, sendo aliás mais próprio do Baixo Alentejo que do Alto. Com o cante coexistiram sempre formas instrumentais de música com adaptação de peças entre os géneros.
A 27 de Novembro de 2014, durante a reunião do Comité em Paris, a UNESCO considerou o cante alentejano como Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade.

O Grupo Coral de Odemira constitui uma referência local, tendo sido fundado em 1977. Desde então, tem mantido a tradição dos cantares e modas alentejanas, algumas herdadas do antigo grupo " Rouxinóis do Mira" que remontam a 1944.
São diplomatas, por excelência, do Cante Alentejano, promovendo uma tradição cultural ímpar, trajando a rigor com o seu fato "domingueiro" (chapéu, calça e colete pretos, camisa branca e lenço amarelo e verde que representam as cores do Concelho), levando as suas modas a todo o concelho, região e país e retratando o sofrimento de um povo, na mística característica de quem sente a riqueza da alma alentejana e mantendo vivas as suas raízes ligadas à dura azáfama de vencer as searas por esse Alentejo fora... Cantam a vida, o trabalho, a saudade, o amor, a liberdade e o rio Mira...
Pelo seu percurso histórico, pela referência local e pelo esforço concretizado de regeneração do Grupo Coral de Odemira que representa de forma emblemática a cultura, a tradição e o património imaterial da nossa terra e preserva a tradição do Cante alentejano, mantendo-se sempre fiel a uma identidade musical do Cante intrínseca ao concelho, o Município de Odemira e toda a comunidade odemirense reconhece, apoia e distingue este trabalho com a entrega da Medalha de Mérito.
Em reconhecimento do seu contributo inestimável para o desenvolvimento cultural e social do concelho, o Município de Odemira atribui a Medalha Municipal de Mérito ao Grupo Coral de Odemira.

The Alentejano Cante
This cache has the purpose of making known this tribute to all choir groups and giving a small description about the local choir and how it was created. Hope you have a good experience making this cache :).
Cante Alentejano is a traditional musical genre from Alentejo, Portugal. Cante was never the only expression of traditional music in the Alentejo, being more typical of Baixo Alentejo than Alto. With cante, instrumental forms of music always coexisted with adaptation of pieces between genres.
On the 27th of November 2014, during the Committee meeting in Paris, UNESCO considered the cante alentejano as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The choir group of Odemira is a local reference, having been founded in 1977. Since then, it has maintained the tradition of Alentejo songs and modas, some inherited from the old group "Rouxinóis do Mira" dating back to 1944.
They are diplomats, per excellence, of Alentejano singing, promoting a unique cultural tradition, wearing their "Sunday" outfit (black hat, pants and vest, white shirt and yellow and green scarf that represent the colors of the county), taking its fashions to the entire county, region and country and portraying the suffering of a people, in the mystical characteristic of those who feel the richness of the Alentejo soul and keeping alive its roots linked to the hard hustle of conquering the harvests across the Alentejo outside.. They sing about life, work, nostalgia, love, freedom and the river Mira...
Due to its historical trajectory, the local reference and the concrete effort to regenerate the Grupo Coral de Odemira, which represents in an emblematic way the culture, tradition and intangible heritage of our land and preserves the tradition of Alentejo singing, always remaining faithful to a musical identity of intrinsic singing to the county, Odemira and the entire Odemirense community recognize, support and distinguish this work with the delivery of the Medal of Merit.
In recognition of its invaluable contribution to the cultural and social development of the municipality, the Municipality of Odemira awards the Municipal Medal of Merit to Grupo Coral de Odemira.
