Les Terrasses de
l’Arche est un ensemble de terrasses créé pour recouvrir l’autoroute A 14
et le RER A jusqu’à la Seine. Elles offrent des îlots de verdures bordés
de nombreux commerces, bars et restaurants.
Seine-Arche est le nom de l’opération d'urbanisme d'envergure qui avait
pour objet d'aménager une longue zone traversant la ville de Nanterre,
depuis La Défense (à l'est) jusqu'à la Seine (à l'ouest).
Né en 2000 d'un accord entre le gouvernement Jospin et la mairie de
Nanterre, le projet Seine-Arche prévoyait la construction de 17 terrasses
bordées de logements, de bureaux et d'équipements, dans des immeubles ne
dépassant pas la dizaine d'étages, sur 124 hectares et dans le
prolongement de l'axe historique Louvre-Concorde-Arc de Triomphe-Grande
Arche.
La cache se trouve à proximité de l’Arena Paris La Défense et de
l’extrémité est des Terrasses. On n’y a pas encore croisé de vaches
limousines mais qui sait … peut-être un jour. Cela ferait plaisir à mon
ami géocacheur Stéphane qui ne manquerait pas de venir l’immortaliser pour
sa collection.
Pourquoi
"VERT"
Ma première cache posée (GC3VHY2)
était une boîte verte, avec un stylo vert, un log book vert et des
objets d'échange verts. Ainsi est née l'idée de placer les caches
qui ont suivi sous le signe du "VERT" et de proposer un challenge
consistant à y déposer de préférence des objets "VERTs". Ce
challenge ne peut malheureusement pas concerner les caches de taille
nano ou micro mais l'utilisation d'un stylo VERT reste possible

Les Terrasses de
l'Arche is a set of terraces created to cover the A 14 motorway and the
RER A to the Seine. They offer green areas lined with many shops, bars and
restaurants.
Seine-Arche is the name of the large-scale urban planning operation that
was designed to develop a long area crossing the city of Nanterre, from La
Défense (in the east) to the Seine (in the west).
Born in 2000 from
an agreement between the government of Jospin and the town hall of
Nanterre, the Seine-Arche project provided for the construction of 17
terraces lined with housing, offices and equipment, in buildings not
exceeding ten floors, on 124 hectares and in the extension of the
historical axis Louvre-Concorde-Arc de Triomphe-Grande Arche.
The geocache is
close to the Paris La Défense Arena and the eastern end of the
Terrasses. We have not yet seen limousine cows but who knows… maybe one
day. It would please my geocacher friend Stéphane who would not fail to
come and immortalize it for his collection.
Why "VERT" ?
My first put geocache (GC3VHY2) was a
green box, with a green pen, a green log portfolio and green items
of exchange. So was born the idea to place the geocaches which
followed under the sign of the "VERT" and to propose a challenge
consisting in depositing there rather "GREEN" objects. This
challenge cannot unfortunately concern the geocaches of nano size or
micro size but the use of a GREEN pen remains possible
