- (2) A young knight named Elvis decided to attempt to defeat the dragon in his attempt to free the princess.
- (4) Eventually the dragon fell asleep as Elvis sang a soothing lullaby.
- (9) Additionally he declared that whoever freed the princess could ask for any boon.
- (2) He did not attempt to sneak up on the dragon, rather he continued singing and playing as he approached the dragon.
- (6) Elvis asked for the princess' hand in marriage and everyone lived happily ever after.
- (8) Sadly those knights were killed or injured trying to defeat the dragon.
- (2) One day the princess was captured by a terrible dragon who lived in the mountains.
- (1) The dragon was intrigued and entertained by Elvis's song, so he did not burn him.
- (4) Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom there lived a fair princess.
- (9) Because so many other knights had failed, Elvis knew that a direct assault was a doomed folly.
- (1) With the dragon asleep, Elvis was able to free the princess and return her to her home.
- (4) Many knights came from the surrounding lands to attempt to free the princess.
- (2) Instead he dressed as a minstrel and set out for the dragon's lair playing a song on a lute.
- (4) The King requested that every knight from near or far come to rescue the princess.
