Welcome to Blue Switch Weekend 2022! What is the Blue Switch you ask? Blue Switch Day is held on May 2 each year and celebrates when the US Government 'flipped the switch' and made high-accuracy GPS available to everyone back in 2000. If it wasn't for the Switch, geocaching may never have been invented and we would have nothing to do but sit at home and stare at the walls. From April 30 - May 2, you can earn the Blue Switch Day 2022 souvenir by finding a geocache, Adventure Lab, or attending an event. So let's celebrate with an event.
Let's meet up in the back of Jacob's Fork Park on Hwy 10 (only 2 minutes off Hwy 321) from noon - 1:30pm. There will be picnic tables so bring a lunch or some beverages and we'll sit and swap geocaching stories and lies. BE SURE TO WEAR SOMETHING BLUE TO CELEBRATE THE BLUE SWITCH. New cachers, kids and pets are welcome. Bring a chair, frisbee, sunscreen, and bug spray and lets enjoy a (hopefully) nice spring day. Remember to adhere to local social distancing requirements, and there will be hand sanitizer on site.
