This cache is a Church Micro in the ever growing series of Church micro caches.
This St. Mathews Church , Walsall.
The church
St Matthew's Church (formerly All Saints Church) is an Anglican parish church in Walsall, West Midlands, England. It was rebuilt in 1820-1821 by Francis Goodwin, but includes remains of the earlier church built around 1220 and dedicated to All Saints. It is a grade II* listed building,[and on Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register.The church was rededicated to St Matthew when rebuilt. The church is the oldest building in Walsall and serves as the main parish church of the town. It sits at a high elevation above the town on a hill and can be seen when entering the town.
There is an abundance of Churchs in and around Walsall and when I first came to the area I realised that not many had church micros associated with them , so once i became a regular visitor to the area i started Placing caches and the first CM i placed was just off of Lumley Road where my better half lives , so the series in the area will grow more over time.
The cache is a micro and is just at the side of a car park , so when going to find if you are with smaller cachers please keep them safe as the road is also quite busy.
Please remember all of my caches are placed so that they can be found , but if you find any of my caches are missing please log a DNF so i can sort it out as soon as possible , as a CO i do not like throwdowns , but i am more than happy for cachers to change logs if wet , spoiled or full.
