Le fort d'Ambleteuse, aussi appelé fort Vauban ou fort Mahon (dû certainement à une erreur administrative de transcription, n'apparaît qu'en 1840) est un fort situé sur le littoral de la commune d’Ambleteuse dans le Pas-de-Calais en France à l'entrée de l'estuaire de la Slack. Il a été construit par Vauban sur ordre de Louis XIV pour défendre un port de guerre. Il est nommé tour d'Ambleteuse ou fort d'Ambleteuse dans tous les documents officiels jusqu'au cadastre napoléonien de 1803. Une Candidature est en cours pour le classement du Fort au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco. Fort d'Ambleteuse, also called Fort Vauban or Fort Mahon (certainly due to an administrative transcription error, only appeared in 1840) is a fort located on the coast of the town of Ambleteuse in the Pas-de- Calais in France at the entrance to the Slack estuary. It was built by Vauban on the orders of Louis XIV to defend a war port. It is named Tour d'Ambleteuse or Fort d'Ambleteuse in all official documents until the Napoleonic cadastre of 1803. An application is in progress for the classification of the Fort as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
