Le rocher de Ronesque, sur lequel est bâtie une petite église, est une table basaltique en forme de coeur qui domine toute la contrée, un rocher de basalte emblématique du Cantal.
Depuis le rocher de Ronesque, c'est tout le Carladès, ainsi que l'Aubrac et le château Renaissance de Messilhac, (où a eu lieu le tournage de La Dame de Montpensier, de Bertrand Tavernier), surplombant la vallée du Goul, qui s'offrent aux yeux des visiteurs. On y accède par un petit chemin au départ du hameau de Ronesque.
Cette table basaltique est due à une inversion de relief, qui a fait un plateau d'une ancienne coulée de lave.
Le site dispose de deux tables d'orientation d'où vous pourrez apprécier un superbe panorama sur les monts du Cantal et de l'Aubrac: au nord, les sommets des Monts du Cantal; à l’est, l’Aveyron, avec Mur de Barrez; à l’ouest, le rocher de Carlat et au sud, la Châtaigneraie cantalienne. On y ressent une intense sensation d’immensité et de liberté. Les deux tables d’orientation permettent de se situer dans le panorama à 360°, où, par beau temps, chaque puy se détache sur la ligne d’horizon.
=> => Pour valider cette cache, vous devez obligatoirement joindre à votre log une photo personnelle où l'on voit la table d'orientation nord (waypoint 2), avec le paysage en arrière-plan, et en direction du Plomb du Cantal.
La photo doit faire apparaître tout ou partie de vous (vous n'êtes pas obligé de montrer votre visage), d'un objet personnel ou votre pseudo sous la forme que vous voulez.
♡ ♡ Afin de voir les changements de paysage au gré des saisons, vous pouvez (mais ce n'est pas obligatoire) également prendre une photo du paysage à partir de la table d'orientation sud (waypoint 3). Merci de partager le spectacle de ce paysage grandiose!

The rock of Ronesque, on which a small church is built, is a heart-shaped basalt table that dominates the whole region, an emblematic basalt rock of the Cantal.
From the Rocher de Ronesque, it's all of Carladès, as well as Aubrac and the Renaissance castle of Messilhac, (where the filming of La Dame de Montpensier, by Bertrand Tavernier took place), overlooking the Goul valley, which are available to visitors. It is reached by a small path from the hamlet of Ronesque.
This basaltic table is due to an inversion of relief, which made a plateau from an old lava flow.
The site has two orientation tables from where you can enjoy a superb panorama of the Monts du Cantal and l'Aubrac: to the north, the peaks of the Monts du Cantal; to the east, the Aveyron, with Mur de Barrez; to the west, the rock of Carlat and to the south la Châtaigneraie cantalienne. There is an intense feeling of immensity and freedom. The two orientation tables allow you to locate yourself in the 360° panorama, where, in good weather, each "puy" stands out against the horizon line.
To validate this cache, you must attach to your log a personal photo where you can see "la table d'orientation nord" (the north orientation table) -waypoint 2-, with the landscape in the background, and in the direction of the Plomb du Cantal.
The photo must show all or part of you (you do not have to show your face), a personal object or your nickname in the form you want.
♡ ♡ To allow us to discover how the landscape changes with the seasons, you can also (but you don't have to) take a picture of the landscape from " la table d'orientation sud" (the south orientation table) -waypoint 3-. Thank you for sharing the spectacle of this grandiose landscape!
