La colonne de la Grande Armée ou colonne Napoléon est une colonne commémorative élevée à Wimille (Pas-de-Calais), près de Boulogne-sur-Mer, entre 1804 et 1823. Œuvre de l’architecte Éloi Labarre, elle est haute de 54 mètres. Une statue de Napoléon Bonaparte tournant le dos à la mer se trouve au sommet (selon certains, la statue tournerait le dos à son ennemi, l'Angleterre, alors que pour d'autres, elle est tout simplement orientée vers l'entrée du site.
Napoléon Ier rassembla à Boulogne, en 1804, l’armée des côtes de l'Océan, qui devint la Grande Armée.
Le 16 août 1804 eut lieu la première distribution de la Légion d'honneur au camp de Boulogne. La décision d'élever un monument en hommage à Napoléon fut prise au lendemain de la distribution de la Légion d'honneur. Le maréchal Soult annonça à l'empereur « le vœu des soldats » de mettre en place aux frais de la légion une colonne en marbre avec une statue de Napoléon. Les soldats ont donc dû faire le sacrifice d'une demi-journée de solde par mois et d'une journée entière pour les officiers.

The Grande Armée column or Napoleon column is a commemorative column erected in Wimille (Pas-de-Calais), near Boulogne-sur-Mer, between 1804 and 1823. Work of the architect Éloi Labarre, it is 54 meters. A statue of Napoleon Bonaparte with his back to the sea sits at the top (according to some, the statue has his back to his enemy, England, while for others it is simply oriented towards the entrance to the site.
Napoleon I assembled in Boulogne, in 1804, the Army of the Coasts of the Ocean, which became the Grande Armée.
On August 16, 1804, the first distribution of the Legion of Honor took place at the Camp de Boulogne. The decision to erect a monument in homage to Napoleon was taken the day after the distribution of the Legion of Honor. Marshal Soult announced to the Emperor "the wish of the soldiers" to set up at the expense of the legion a marble column with a statue of Napoleon. The soldiers therefore had to make the sacrifice of half a day's pay per month and a full day's pay for the officers.
