This young teenage mother Sacagawea, helped The Corp of Discovery from the day of meeting at a Mandan Village in The Dakotas, all the way to The Pacific, and back again. In several documented cases she made the difference between success, and total failure. Much of the information can be found easily, though much of her life remains a mystery to this day. Her infant son accompanied her every step of the way in a trip often compared to a expedition to going to the moon, certainly in the era of the early 1800's
