Welcome to the Coffee’s first Virtual Cache, this virtual is dedicated to Geocachers who have cached their final cache and passed away but will be never forgotten.
Their legacy of finding and hiding caches will always be remembered and we hope their acheivements will also be remembered for years to come with some recognised as pioneers of geocaching, and who knows maybe like those who joined in 2000 that are listed as “Charter” members, maybe one day in the future those who joined around 2001-2004 could be honoured as “foundation” members and those who joined between 2005-2008 could be listed as “Heritage” members and so on.
I chose this location because I am trying to keep fit, myself and Charlie my Groodle, try to walk a circuit here 5 times a week and we love the views and the challenge of what is now known as the Berwick 1000 steps.
The cache is a Virtual and the views are amazing both at sunset or a storm coming from the North West. To log this virtual you will need to go to the coordinates listed and take a photo with yourself (or a pice of geocaching equipment/name tag) at the marker then post it with your log, simple and easy.
Optional Extra: there is no logging requirement with this optional extra however if you would like to add any comments, stories, inspiration or even funny times about a geocacher who has passed away in Victoria feel free to add it to your log, over time or would like their name added to the list from time to time, again this is not a logging requirement.
