O local da Fonte dos Mouros está ligado à lenda de que, em época remota, os Mouros, aquando da sua expulsão da região, deixaram os seus bens e riquezas para trás, escondendo-as no interior da fraga da Fonte dos Mouros, onde ficaram guardados por um encantamento. Reza, ainda a lenda, ser costume os pastores verem no alto da fraga os tesouros dos Mouros, sem, no entanto, conseguirem resgatá-los.
Do alto da Fraga (Cruz) avista-se grande parte do concelho de Sabrosa e da região, onde a sul a paisagem vinhateira domina por completo o olhar, e onde a norte domina uma paisagem serrana.

The location of Fonte dos Mouros is linked to the legent that, in remote times, the Moors, when they were expelled from the region, left their goods and riches behind, hiding them inside the Fonte dos Mouros cliff, where they were kept by an enchantment. According to legend, it is customary for shepherds to see the treasures of the Moors on top of the cliff, without, however, being able to rescue them.
From the top of Fraga (Cross) you can see a large part of the municipality of Sabrosa and the region, where to the south the vineyard landscape completely dominates the look, and where to the north dominates a mountain landscape.
