La queue de cachalot par le sculpteur Steve Chaudanson

Je n'ai pas pu mettre la cache plus près car il y a une autre cache (mystère) dans le secteur.

Conçue par l’artiste sculpteur Steve Chaudanson, de Rina Design cette immense queue de cachalot, haute de trois mètres, est réalisée en tôle d’acier Corten (un acier auto-patiné à corrosion superficielle qui prend un aspect rouillé après plusieurs années d’exposition à la météo).

L’équipe technique de la Capitainerie a aidé au montage de la pièce, dont le corps se prolonge sur la place, et reprend les couleurs de l’eau du port.

Elle est désormais fixée sur la place deï Galoubet.

The Spermwhale Tail by Steve Chaudanson from Rina Design

You can’t miss it : this week, Port-Fréjus got a monumental sculpture !

Designed by the sculptor Steve Chaudanson, this giant spermwhale tail of three meters high is entirely realized with Corten steel (a steel forming a stable rust-like appearance after several years’ exposure to weather).

The technical department of Port-Fréjus helped to set up the sculpture.

The body of the work of art is extended on the quay, taking the colors of the marina waters.

You can now see it on the Place deï Galoubet !

And it’s not the end : this sculpture is the first of another three surprises which will take place around the marina…
