Geocache Description:

05 February 2022, 07:30 - 08:00

Congregate and Celebrate!

"Geocaching Fun and Friends" is this year's theme for the Discover Yuma Event. Mingle and laugh with fellow geocachers from all over in this delightfull spot, which is a productive date farm, and there is a snack bar and date shake sourse nearby. You can trade geocaching hints and experiences.  Learn a little about fellow geocachers and a lot about the Yuma area. Snacks and water will be available to you to wake you up to a fun day in the salad bowl of the nation.

After the event, you can pick up your passport to a day of fun, discovering some of the interesting spots in the Yuma region.  When you have compleated your passport, return to the start and receive your "Geocaching Fun and Friends" geocoin. There is no reward for first-to-finish, so take your time and enjoy the sights.  Be alert because there may be other geocaches near the places you travel to.  We will be accepting passports at Martha's Garden untill 4 PM on the 5th and untill 2 pm on the 6th at the Yuma Mega Event.

Friday evening the Discovery Series coordinates will be posted to all those that responded "will attend". You can use these coordinates to lay out a plan of attack for the series.

A short note about personal safety. As we write this there are no State, County, or City restrictions for Covid safety measures.  We do strongly recommend that you wear a mask when among others and maintain a six foot distance when ever possible.
