Geocache Description:

09 April 2022, 11:00 - 16:00

Whether you are new to geocaching or know everything, come along to our "Intro to Geocaching" event in Eccleshall and either learn or help explain what Geocaching is to newbies, muggles, those puzzled about puzzles, or those who don't know where to go for a whereigo.

Hosted by the Eccleshall Health and Wellbeing team (a community outreach group based on the Crown Surgery, Eccleshall), the focus here is on having fun when walking - and we'll all aree that means geocaching, right?

Saturday April 9, 11am-4pm, at the Methodist Hall, 7 Stone Road, Eccleshall, ST21 6DL

Organisations involved

  • The Crown Surgery PPG
  • Stone Ramblers
  • Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB)
  • West Midlands Mega Team
  • Local Council info available on local walks, including leaflets. Several local councillors are likely to be present, too.

Hot drinks available in aid of the West Midlands Mega, and a raffle will be held too.

Practical events include a 'fake' geocache trail nearby (demonstrating hides both clever and disguised) as well as an opportunity to guide newbies (or be guided) around some of the nearby cache types.  We'll also have a few indoor games to help keep kids of all ages engaged.

Parking

Street parking is available all over town.  If you choose to park in the Co-op Car Park please pay attention to the signs, charges, and times the gates are locked.

The event venue does have some (very limited) parking at the rear - if you have mobility or similar issues please feel free to use this, however if you can park elsewhere then please leave this for those in need.

Public Transport

The route 103 from Stone and the route 432 from Stafford will get you here.  Pay attention to the time of the last bus home.

Thanks:

Thanks go to the Crown Surgery and the Central England Co-operative's Membership Community Council for their support in making this event happen.
