Certaines caches sont fragiles merci de ne pas forcer, ou parfois en ville, pour la pérénité de celle si restez discret, MERCI.
Vous pouvez pique niquer à l'ouvrage de Meroux , sur le parking de la mairie ou en mode campeur le long du parcour, mais restez respectueux des lieux traversés, la nature est propre merci de la laisser comme vous l'avez trouvée.

Meroux est situé à 6 km au sud est de Belfort, les habitans s'appelent les Méroutains et les Méroutaines.
Le village existe depuis env - 2000 av JC il a tenu bon face aux guerres de 1442 et celle de trente an en 1632 (certains villages du secteur furent eux rayés de la carte et jamais rebatis 
).
En 1803 on compte 421 habitants à Meroux contre 1307 à ce jour .
De 1908 à 1913 a été construit le fort de Méroux, un des maillons de la ceinture fortifiée entourant la place forte de Belfort.
Le 15 juillet 1972, Meroux a absorbé la commune voisine de Moval pour former la commune de Meroux-Moval. Comme rien n'est jamais simple en janvier 1997, les deux communes se séparent. Pour ce réunir à nouveau (encore mieux que Dallas !) le 1er janvier 2019,et ainsi re-donner naissance à la commune de Meroux-Moval.

You can have a picnic at the Meroux work, on the town hall car park or as a camper along the route, but please be respectful of the places you cross, nature is clean, thank you for leaving it as you found it.
Want to know a little more about the village where you will be walking? Here are a few lines of history of this village:
Meroux is located 6 km south east of Belfort, the inhabitants are called Meroutains and Meroutaines.
The village has existed since about 2000 BC and held out against the wars of 1442 and the Thirty Years' War in 1632 (some villages in the area were wiped off the map and never rebuilt).
In 1803 there were 421 inhabitants in Meroux compared to 1307 today.
From 1908 to 1913 the fort of Meroux was built, one of the links in the fortified belt surrounding the stronghold of Belfort.
On 15 July 1972, Meroux absorbed the neighbouring commune of Moval to form the commune of Meroux-Moval. As nothing is ever simple, in January 1997, the two communes separated. On 1 January 2019, the two communes reunited (even better than Dallas!) to form the commune of Meroux-Moval.
