Este é um 2 stage multi cache, colocado em princípios de outono, época das vindimas... A Fase 1 vai levá-los a conhecer um lugar que é património Nacional... São lagares romanos escavados na rocha... Este é um de vários encontrados na região e um pouco por toda a Península Ibérica... A Fase final não fica longe, nesta, terá de encontrar e assinar o log book para ter crédito pelo cache...
Os lagares e lagaretas, foram equipamentos de esmagamento de uvas para a produção de vinho... Na prática são dois tanques, um de planta retangular e outro de planta quadrada comunicantes entre si por um orifício circular... É possível encontrá-los com especial predominância nas zonas de rocha mais resistente, como o granito... É difícil situar no tempo a sua construção e subsequente utilização por falta de descobertas com estratigrafia vindo de escavações arqueológicas... Entretanto, sabemos que o vinho foi, para as sociedades clássicas e em especial para os romanos, um produto de grande significado económico e social... Há, contudo, tendência para lhes atribuir uma cronologia medieval... Apesar de suscitarem ainda muitas interrogações, os lagares rupestres são elementos distintivos de atividades produtivas milenares intrinsecamente ligadas à nossa cultura e à nossa identidade...
