La Source Miraculeuse de Vaudouan
L’histoire veut qu’en l’an 1013 une bergère trouve ici une statuette de la vierge en bois à la fontaine. L’ayant ramené au curé, celle-ci disparaît et est retrouvée une autre fois à la fontaine.
Après plusieurs disparitions et réapparitions au même endroit, il est décidé d’y construire un sanctuaire. Notre-Dame de Vaudouan a ainsi été érigée à quelques centaines de mètres de cette fontaine miraculeuse. Plusieurs fois détruite puis reconstruite elle est remarquablement jolie et colorée à l’intérieur.
On attribue à l’eau de cette fontaine la vertu de guérir les maladies de peau.
In the year 1013 a shepherdess found here a little wooden virgin at the fountain. Having brought her back to the parish priest, the statuette disappears and is found again at the fountain.
After several disappearances and reappearances in the same place, it was decided to build a chapel there. Notre-Dame de Vaudouan was thus erected a few hundred meters from this miraculous fountain. Several times destroyed and then rebuilt it is remarkably pretty and colorful inside.
The water from this fountain is credited with healing skin diseases.
