To promote the wholesomeness of their products, they have decided to produce a series for Japanese television; each episode of My American Wife! will showcase a wholesome American family enjoying a dinner menu emphasizing meat.
Jane Takagi-Little is a bilingual Japanese-American journalist and documentarian hired as production coordinator for the Japanese crew and director who will be shooting the programs. When the Japanese director has a severe allergic reaction to the residual antibiotics in the veal dinner featured in one episode, Jane steps in as his replacement. Her episodes become the most watched of the series, even though the message is not quite what the sponsor was bargaining for.
CO's note: This put the idea for the puzzle into my head, but you won't have to read the book; it won't help you solve the puzzle. There is, however, a real possibility that you will find the book more readable than the puzzle.
The text you see below is a variation of Lorem Ipsum, a nonsensical jumble of Latin words that graphic designers use as a placeholder when designing a page or brochure before the final copy has been written. Carnivorem Ipsum uses the names of meats instead of Latin words; the other difference is that Carnivorem Ipsum is only mostly nonsense (as Billy Crystal might say). This text makes just enough sense to provide the final coordinates.
