Every once in a while we have one of those special days that is the same backwards and forwards. We say things like:
Cigar? Toss it in a can. It is so tragic.
Murder for a jar of red rum.
Go hang a salami; I'm a lasagna hog!
And of course, Yo, banana boy!
December 2, 2021 is one of those days. 12-02-2021 is a Palindrome day and since we don't get many of them that use the full date and year, it is a great excuse to have geocaching event!
So come on down to the IKEA Food Court (on the 2nd floor) in Hicksville for the latest Geocachers of Long Island event. We will be meeting from 5:30PM until 8:00PM to hang out, talk about geocaching and even have some Swedish meatballs if you so choose.
Additionally, there will be a limited edition palindrome coin available for purchase at the event. This great looking coin actually turns in the middle so you can see both sides of the butterfly coin match up however you like. The coins will be $14 each and there are a limited amount available, so if you are going to want to get one or more, please mention that in your "Will Attend" log. And of course, the coins are trackable at www.geocaching.com!
You do not have to purchase anything to attend the event, however if you want to order anything while you are there you are responsible for that cost. So come on down on Palindrome Day and hang out with GoLI! So many dynamos!
