Geocache Description:

The Swamp Tiki Man is hidden deep in the mythic steaming mosquito filled Great Swamp. This important, but freighting tiki idol represents all the unique Hawaiian gods and legends, and must be protected.

The Great Swamp Watershed Association‘s 73 acre Conservation Management Area (CMA). This area contains critical wetlands, vernal pools, forested areas, and the Silver Brook, which is a feeder stream to the Passaic River.

In ancient Hawaiian Mythology, Hawaiians filled their amazing land and history with tiki gods. Ancient oracles of Hawaiian kahunas perched carved wooden tikis on volcanic cliffs, peering through the rainforest, mystic caves, and placed along the coastlines.

Ancient Hawaii was a mythic land with freighting tiki masked warriors appearing from steaming jungles and many unique and interesting gods and legends.

To locate the Swamp Tiki Man follow trail to the bridge crossing the silver brook into the Tiki's swampland.
