Geocache Description:

18 December 2021, 10:00 - 10:30

PICNIC TABLES, SHERIFF PARK

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt. Players use GPS enabled devices (GPS receivers or Smart Phones) to navigate to, and find containers hidden all over the world. Geocaching has very broad appeal as it can be played by all ages and all abilities, from families with children to retirees. Players choose their own adventure and their level of challenge, when and wherever they desire. Geocaching offers a wide variety of health benefits and is very accessible through a free smart phone app and free membership on geocaching.com

Geocaching Townsville would love to grow the game in our region before next Easter's Mega Event (GC9BVWD). So come along to learn the basics of the game. On conclusion of this event, attendees will have the opportunity to go on their first hunt along the Ross River Powertrail with experienced local players as their guides.
