Descrizione: il cache vi porterà sulla sommità del Monte Freddo (Mont Froid in francese). E' una vetta facilmente raggiungibile, anche in MTB, a quota 2882 e che vi fornirà una splendida vista sia sulla Val Cenis, sia sul colle del piccolo Moncenisio. E' una passeggiata lunghetta, ma poco impegnativa rispetto ad altre nella stessa zona. E' possibile compiere un anello
Il cache: si tratta di un petling. I Fr3aks chiedono ai geocacheurs di prestare la massima attenzione nel recuperare il cache e di riposizionarlo nella stessa identica location. Non è necessario smontare tutto il muretto, ma cercare esattamente dove indicato dalla foto spoiler. Grazie.
Il percorso: la passeggiata non è difficile. Si può lasciare l'auto all'ampio parcheggio del piccolo Moncenisio, in prossimità del rifugio (Parking Piccolo Moncenisio) o presso l'inizio della strada sterrata che porta all'alpeggio Mestrallet (spiazzo in prossimità dei cartelli dei sentieri, limitato ad un numero esiguo di auto). Nel primo caso, il dislivello da completare sarà leggermente maggiore, ma è possibile compiere un percorso ad anello.
- Lunghezza andata e ritorno dell'anello: circa 12 km (dipende se si taglia un po' per i prati)
- Dislivello positivo: circa 600 m (700 se si parte dal rifugio del piccolo Moncenisio)
- Tempo di percorrenza totale : tra le 3 e le 3,5 ore, con molta calma escluse ricerche e pause varie.
Il quando: il cache è raggiungibile d'estate. Il valico del Moncenisio è chiuso indicativamente da novembre fino ad aprile. E comunque sia, i cache sarebbero molto probabilmente sepolti dalla neve, quindi difficilmente accessibili.
Description: the cache will take you to the top of Monte Freddo (Mont Froid in French). It is an easily accessible peak, even by mountain bike, at an altitude of 2882 and which will provide you with a splendid view of both the Val Cenis and the Moncenisio valley. The Path: the walk is not difficult. You can leave your car in the large parking lot of the Small Moncenisio, near the refuge (Parking Piccolo Moncenisio) or at the beginning of the dirt road that leads to the Mestrallet mountain pasture (open space near the trail signs, limited to a small number of cars). In the first case, the difference in height to be completed will be slightly greater, but it is possible to make a circular route.
- Round trip leght: about 12 km (depending on whether you take a cut for the meadows)
