The Cabo de São Vicente is located on the Algarve coast of Portugal not far from the city of Sagres. This most south-westerly point of Europe falls spectacularly into the Atlantic in a steep coast up to 70 m high.
This cape is notorious for its shallows. On one of the world's busiest sea routes, ships keep a respect-ful distance from the dangerous cliffs. This has been facilitated since 1846 by the well-known 22 m high lighthouse of Cabo de São Vicente, which is considered to be the brightest lighthouse in Euro-pe with a 3,000 watt light beam of almost 60 km.
As a memento of our vacation in Portugal, we hid a small box in this lovely environment.
To get to the hiding place, you first pass „The last Bratwurst before America“. Enjoy the gigantic view with a bratwurst from our Thuringia.
To see the lighthouse from a short distance, you have to go through a large iron gate. From here (listing coordinates) you have to aim for 132 degrees and 302 meters. You should find the container at these coordinates, which you can control by means of the checker.
Please be careful and hold on to the ledge.
The best thing to do is to sit down on the small ledge and reach into the crevice.

O Cabo de São Vicente está localizado na costa Algarvia de Portugal, não muito longe da cidade de Sagres. Este ponto mais ao sudoeste da Europa cai espetacularmente no Atlântico em uma costa íngreme de até 70 m de altura.
Esta capa é famosa por suas águas profundas. Em uma das rotas marítimas mais movimentadas do mundo, os navios mantêm uma distância respeitosa dos penhascos perigosos. Isso tem sido facilitado desde 1846 pelo conhecido farol de 22 m de altura do Cabo de São Vicente, considerado o farol mais brilhante da Europa, com um feixe de luz de 3.000 watts de quase 60 km.

Dieses Kap ist für seine Untiefen berüchtigt. Auf einem der weltweit meist befahrenen Seewege halten Schiffe einen gebührenden Respektabstand zu den gefährlichen Klippen. Das erleichtert seit 1846 der bekannte 22 m hohe Leuchtturm des Cabo de São Vicente, der mit einem 3.000-Watt-Lichtstrahl von knapp 60 km als der lichtstärkste Leuchtturms Europas gilt.
Zur Erinnerung an unseren Portugal-Urlaub haben wir ein Döschen in dieser reizvollen Umgebung versteckt.
Um zum Versteck zu gelangen geht es zuerst an der „Letzten Bratwurst vor Amerika“ vorbei. Genießt die gigantische Aussicht mit einer Bratwurst von uns aus Thüringen.
Um den Leuchtturm ganz aus der Nähe zu betrachten, müsst ihr durch ein großes Eisentor gehen. Von diesem aus (Listingkoordinaten) peilt ihr 132 Grad und 302 Meter. An diesen Koordinaten, welche ihr im Checker überprüfen könnt, solltet ihr die Dose finden.
Bitte seid vorsichtig und haltet euch an dem Felsvorsprung gut fest.
