Tämä kätkö on Kaupin ulkoilualueella, joka on eräs Tampereen suosituimpia ulkoiluun tarkoitetuista alueista. Alueella on runsaasti erilaisia teitä ja polkuja. This cache is located in Kauppi. It's one of the most famous areas for the outdoor activities in Tampere. There are several roads and paths on this area. You can walk or go by bike and when there is enough snow, skiing is the only alternative, because in wintertime some of the roads are reserved for the skiers. The cache is in forest, but quite close a road and the terrain is easy. To find the cache you must be prepared to go without car at least 5 km. The total length of the hike depends on the way you decide to go and where you start.
To find the cache you must visit the points 1, 2 and 3 to get the final coordinates of the cache. You can also try to guess the building of the point 3, but there are more than one building having flagpoles in front them on this area.
Point 1.
The given coordinates will take you to a place, where is a construction made of concrete. On this area there are some similar constructions. The coordinates of the next point are: N 61º30.X * 142 and E 023º49.X * 142 where X = number of the constructions. You must be careful and find all of them.
Point 2.
There is a bridge in this point. Count the total number of the vertical spokes of the handrails. The coordinates of the next point are: N 61º30.Y * 42 + 16 and E 023º48.Y * 21 + 4 where Y = number of the vertical spokes.
Point 3.
If you calculated correct the coordinates in the previous points you are now in front a building. This building has something to do with sport. There are some flagpoles in front the building.
The coordinates of the cache are: N 61º30.(X+Z)*109+3 E 023º48.Z*273-31 where X = number of constructions at point 1 and Z = number of flagpoles.
The plastic cache box is hidden in a hole under a stone block. Snow can cover it, but it is possible to find it in winter too.
