Though Left-Handers make up only 10% of the population, many “lefties” have risen to the top of the influential mountain in everything from music to politics to athletics.
Figure out who these famous lefties are in order to find the location of the geocache.

- This Leftie from Alabama was an author, political activist, lecturer, and disability rights advocate. Though she lost both her sight and hearing at 19 months of age, she was the first deafblind person in this country to earn a Bachelors Degree. Her international fame led to streets being named after her in Switzerland, Portugal, Israel, Spain, and France, among others. She passed away on June A, 1968.
- Easily one of the most popular musical performers of the 21st century, this famous left hander from Manhattan has won 12 Grammy awards and has twice been named to Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” list. In 2012, she began the Born This Way Foundation, which focuses on mental health and empowerment efforts for young people. Though born as Stefani, she is now commonly known by her two-word stage name, which has B letters.
- This German-born Nobel Prize Winner in Physics may be the most famous scientist of all time; his formula E=mc2 is undoubtedly the most famous formula! He moved to the United States in 193C and became a U.S. citizen in 1940.
- This famous left-hander is an American talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and philanthropist. Though she was born into poverty in rural Mississippi in 1954, her hard work eventually made her the “Queen of All Media.” Her first name has D letters in it.
- Born in Hawaii in 1961, this left hander is one of the world’s most famous politicians. After working as a community organizer in Chicago, attending Harvard Law School, and serving as a state and U.S. senator from Illinois, he made history in 2008 by becoming the first black president of the United States. He was re-elected in 2012 with 5E.1% of the popular vote.
- In 1979, this person received the Nobel Peace Prize, a recognition of the powerful impact of her life’s work. She began the Missionaries of Charity in 19F0, working with a small group of other religious women to serve those with leprosy in Calcutta, India. By the time of her death in 1997, the Missionaries of Charity were operating 610 missions in 123 countries. She was recognized as a left-handed Saint in 2006.
