Un lieu qui méritait bien une cache tant le point de vue est magnifique !
Le pont du Milieu a été construit dans la deuxième partie du XIIIe siècle. Il liait la presqu’île de l’Auge à la Planche-Inférieure, à la Commanderie de Saint-Jean (établie en 1259), à l’Abbaye de la Maigrauge (fondée en 1255) et à la léproserie de Bourguillon (antérieure à 1252). Il permettait aussi de gagner Marly et la Haute-Singine, qui se trouvent derrière la crête de la falaise de molasse.. Le pont était muni d’une tour-porte. Ainsi, l’Auge était protégé à ses deux entrées. La construction initiale en bois a été remplacée en 1720 par un pont de quatre arches en tuf avec un tablier en dos d’âne, typique des ponts anciens. Les ponts de bois, comme leurs successeurs en pierres, étaient régulièrement endommagés par les crues. Ils étaient une charge importante pour la ville. (fribourgtourisme.ch)
Die Mittlere Brücke wurde ebenfalls in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts erbaut. Sie verband die Au-Halbinsel mit der Unteren Matte, der Johanniterkomturei (1259), dem Kloster Magere Au (1255) und dem Siechenhaus in Bürglen (vor 1252). Über die Mittlere Brücke erreichte man auch Marly und das Sense-Oberland hinter der Felswand. Auf der Brücke befand sich ein Torturm – damit war das Au-Quartier an seinen beiden Eingängen geschützt. Die ursprüngliche Holzkonstruktion wurde 1720 durch eine vierbogige Tuffbrücke ersetzt, wie es für Brücken in der damaligen Zeit üblich war. (fribourgtourisme.ch)
The pont du Milieu also dates from the latter half of the 13th century. In those days, it provided an access route from the Auge peninsula to the Planche-Inférieure, and further on to the Commandery of St John (founded in 1259), Maigrauge Abbey (founded in 1255) and the Bourguillon leper colony (pre-1252). It also made it easier to get to Marly and the Upper Singine, tucked away behind the cliffs you see in front and to the right of you. Back in the day there would have been a gate tower, thereby ensuring that the district of Auge was protected at either end. The original timber structure was replaced in 1720 by a stone four-arch humpback bridge, in keeping with many bridges built during that time.
