We will meet at 12:00 at the starting coordinates and will walk southwards along the beach, towards the parking waypoint. I will be wearing a bright pink T shirt or if the weather is inclement, my purple Yorkshire Mega fleece. You are welcome to join us later but will have to find me on the beach to log your attendance!
We propose to formally conclude at the starting coordinates at 13:45 after which you will need to be responsible for disposing of the litter you've collected.
Limited litter pickers will be available to borrow; gloves and rubbish bags will be provided. Last time we did this we found a surprising amount of discarded clothing - can we collect a full outfit this year?
As this CITO takes place during CITO Season 1 you will earn a souvenir by attending. If you have never attended an event before, please message me and I will be pleased to look out for you on the day.
Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, there have been more than 502,000 logged attendances at more than 26,000 events where geocachers helped improve the outdoors.
Every time we CITO we work to create a better world. Whether we pick up trash at a park, plant trees, paint over graffiti, or build insect hotels for pollinators—we build community with our geocaching neighbors and we leave our incredible geocaching gameboard better off than how we found it.
