National Rootbeer Float Day is one of the more obscure holidays, but we can still celebrate. This location has ice cream desserts including rootbeer floats. Join in for some summer fun visiting with fellow geocachers between 6 and 7 pm. Coleman's is a family owned ice cream stand in the summer months with limited hours. The cows, however, live elsewhere. Note: Beginning Aug 2, the section of Rte 9 between Reedy Point Bridge and Port Penn is closed. The detour takes you to Rte 13 if coming from the north.
No purchase necessary, but if you wish to purchase ice cream or a rootbeer float, be prepared with cash. There is a port-a-potty, but no fancy facilities.
