Welcome to Hexton. You will probably have crossed county borders to get here, as the village is in a tiny salient of Hertfordshire, surrounded on three sides by Bedfordshire. Although the village hall has been repurposed to an extent, rooms are still available to hire by the community for a nominal fee, and on Thursdays to Saturdays tea and cake are available on site.
The cache is NOT at the published coordinates. First solve the jigsaw puzzle. Then you'll find a hint for the hide and the formula for the final coordinates. When you arrive in the village, you'll need to visit Hexton's most unique and interesting piece of street furniture by going to the cache's header coordinates. It's a lamp post, water pump and sign post all in one and we've never seen anything like it anywhere else!
Please be VERY careful crossing the road, keeping animals and children safe at all times.
Find the plaque and note the date the pump was installed.
This is A B C D - REMEMBER, you'll need to solve the jigsaw puzzle to see the formula!
The cache log is in a novelty container. The custodians are aware of its location, but PLEASE be respectful of your surroundings and don't attempt at night!
Cache placed with the kind permission of Country Matters.
