This is a non-hiking hunt and my first go at placing a cache.
It's a very shadey, scenic country area that I love to ride the motorcycle through. Narrow twisting, very quiet roads weave the area. This hunt is close to the road BUT... very well hidden! It's a 5" x 5" x 3" metal box with a strong "magnet" attached to it's bottom and it's the same color as it's surroundings. You can park close to the cache but you will have to look to find it. Hint: magnet!
The cache is small and the Troll keeps strange things in his treasure box... gold beads, 2-Desert Storm pins, worthless cardcard, a pretty marble, a seashell, his favorite sticker, Skechers keychain, United Way pin and a 1953 'wheat' penny. A pen and a couple of notepads of course all in a zip bag. If you take the penny, please replace it with the same .... it's good luck!
If you take a picture, please take one of the box away from it's hiding place (holding it maybe). It would be 'easily' found with a pic of where it's placed, even without a GPS.
NOTE: This area is a popular youth hangout in the evenings. The county has put 'No Parking' signs all over the place to try to stop this activity.
I went and checked & double checked the cords... New cords should be good.
