Dolnja Težka Voda is a typical Dolenska farming village, however, today, many of the residents have day jobs and no longer rely on the farming. Still, farming is a strong tradition in the area and it is quite common for men to finish their day in the office and head out to the fields. The village is named after Težka Voda river which begins right near the village and provides nearby Novo Mesto town with allmost half of its drinking water. Težka Voda means "Heavy Waters". It is named this way because the river is so SLOW in moving that the residents say the water is too heavy to move. The entire area is simply beautiful and the view from the cache cannot be beat.
